The Sony Ericsson Spiro is the latest addition to the Walkman range of mobile and tries to turn to combine the use of social networks in the main media playback.
The new Sony Ericsson Spiro is part of the Walkman range of mobile and therefore includes the music player Sony Ericsson Walkman and PlayNow functions (buying music online directly from the mobile) and TrackID (identifying a song from a recording of a few seconds). It also adopts the format of a typical sliding Walkman smartphone with a screen displaying 2.2”240 x 320 pixels. The result is a compact mobile and convenient for easy operation.

Sony Ericsson Spiro is equipped with Twitter and Facebook applications and is expected to facilitate access to social networks, however its keyboard is not Qwerty but alphanumeric and a perspective on network connectivity, mobile broadband is limited the standard EDGE. Disadvantages that should be erased by the final sale price of the device.

The Sony Ericsson Spiro will be launched at the same time as his cousin (the Sony Ericsson Zylo, a Walkman phone a bit more advanced) at the beginning of the third quarter of 2010 (Q3 2010). It will be offered in black, pink or green and should position it self in the mobile segment of the economy.
