In starting the mobile, the surprise is large, so the OS is responsive and differ from that team other smartphones of the brand, namely Symbian S60. Maemo 5 recalls the use of a PC running Windows 7, with pages that parade, and a multitasking function. The customization of the desktop is fairly easy. To add icons on the home page of the mobile, just click once on the home screen and click on the icon that appears at the top right and move the items to the place of his choice. Maemo 5 also has a virtual key located on the top left of the screen. This allows, among other things, manage the programs started, but also display a launcher application or return to the home page. Interestingly, the N900 is used almost exclusively in landscape mode. Only a few applications, such as the handler calls or viewing photos allow switching to portrait mode.
