LG will Launch Smartphone with Windows Mobile 7 This Year. While the arrival of Windows Mobile 7 is not expected back before 2010, LG has already announced he will be in line to offer smartphones running on the next version of Microsoft OS. The manufacturer LG, which sells at present only one Windows Phone (GM750), took advantage of CES to show that phones based on Windows Mobile 7 would come out well during the year. The South Korean manufacturer has said “this year” suggesting it could happen sooner than expected.
Many fans hope that Microsoft will unveil Windows Mobile 7 during CES in Las Vegas or at the next Mobile World Congress to be held next month in Barcelona. The question is whether this new version of Windows Mobile will be enough to stem the erosion of its market share against the very talented BlackBerry, iPhone and Android.
