HP takes advantage of CES to introduce its new Tablet PC, the HP TouchSmart TM2. If the design is comparable to that of previous generations, HP states have made improvements to make use of the Tablet much more enjoyable. The cooling system has been revised and is now more effective while being more discreet.
Autonomy would also rise and could reach nine hours by HP through the use of an Intel Core 2 Duo low power associated with an integrated graphics chipset. Models should however be marketed with a dedicated ATI graphics card. Autonomy may then be withdrawn.
The keyboard of HP TouchSmart TM2 is also changing. It is now a model to separate keys, similar to that present in the Pavilion dm3. As for the touchpad, it draws on the range and Envy has a clickable surface. A technology that allows the removal of the buttons.
It has of course a multitouch touchscreen with a size of 12.1 inches. The latter can rotate and can convert the ultra-portable Tablet PC. Applications designed to take advantage of the multitouch technology will come with the TouchSmart.
