The Asus G60JX-JX040V joins the new series of 16-inch laptop models for gamer from Asus. Under Intel Calpella platform, it appears less than 1000 euros with a Core i5 and a graphics card Geforce GTS 360M.
The face recognition system via the webcam is SmartLogon as part of the mini-light system based Express Gate Linux software and a DVD player. Asus G60JX-JX040V also integrated technology Power4 Gear Hybrid offers the choice among several operating modes including Extreme Turbo that can boost performance and Battery Saving that ensures greater autonomy than 20% to 25% through an adjustment of processor frequency.
On the design side, the black interior is spartan and dark blue hull with a touch of originality and aggressiveness. Offset to the left, the multi-touch touchpad has a vertical scroll zone and two buttons money. The keyboard has a numeric keypad to him and flat black keys well spaced from each other which can be retro-making.
It is on the left side lies the greater part of the connector while the right side houses the optical drive, 2 USB ports and audio. Asus G60JX-JX040V is positioned in the middle of its class. This versatile watch is obviously at ease in everyday multitasking thanks to its Intel Core i5-430M and 4GB of RAM fully exploited by the system if it is indeed a 64-bit edition and not 32 bits.
The hard drive offers 500GB of storage space is comfortable but would have liked it to be faster. The connection is provided it with wireless N, HDMI, e-SATA, FireWire and ExpressCard only Bluetooth missing the call. Owned by the Garmer series, this laptop is equipped with a graphics card last generation, the Geforce GTS 360M. Unfortunately, it is not really what one might call a real novelty as it is based on the Geforce GTS 260M, itself based on the Geforce 8800M. However, Nvidia makes a slight boost in performance every time.
Even if it does nothing new, the Geforce GTS 360M does provide relatively good performance for a card for gamers. It will thus be able to properly support the newer games, and it even better than the screen resolution is low. Adjustment of levels of detail, however, prove necessary in the titles most resource-intensive 3D.

Let us just at the screen. If the low resolution is an advantage for users wishing to play in native resolution, there is no doubt that some will be disappointed that it is not more important, especially vertically. For the 768px height are really limited, especially in office and surfing because they force to scroll regularly.
