Presented in early January at CES 2010, the new ultraportable Asus Eee PC 1201NL platform under Nvidia ION landed in some country at least 350 euros. Super Hybrid Engine technology is integrated. The Asus Eee PC 1201NL offers good value equipment / price positioning itself as one of the models ION cheapest market. No Pineview Atom processor program, it is incompatible with the ION first generation. However, Atom N270 delivers performance similar to those of the Atom N450, so we do not lose much by the change.
You have probably realized, the main asset of this ultraportable is its graphical part Nvidia ION. This is far more powerful than the GMA 950 which is usually coupled to the Atom N270. It is possible thanks to the ION HD video without a care, but also play tracks small amount of memory by adapting the level of details and / or resolution.
The presence of ION affects autonomy announced, less than the conventional Netbooks. However, it is very correct, especially if it is confirmed in practice. The display features a 16:9 format suitable for playback of HD video resolution and a more comfortable that the majority of Netbooks, which is especially significant in office and surfing the Internet.
It also appreciates the presence of an HDMI output, enough to connect the Asus Eee PC 1201NL an external monitor to enjoy full HD High Definition.
