Asus presents on one of its CES booth, a new version of its Eee PC SeaShell 12 inches, the Asus 1201NL eee PC. If the design remains unchanged, however, the configuration should change significantly with the presence of an Intel Atom Single Core – a priori N270 – with a Nvidia chipset ION.
Other components remain unchanged, with a maximum of 2 GB of RAM, hard disk of 160 GB or 250, a slab of 12.1-inch WXGA HD LED (1366 x 768), a 0.3 megapixel webcam with microphone, a reader SDHC cards and interfaces Wi-Fi 802.11 b / g / n, Bluetooth, HDMI, VGA, Headphone, Microphone, Ethernet and USB 2.0 (x3). All for a weight of 1.4 Kg.
With Asus 1201NL eee PC, Asus will apply to those interested in the “form factor” of 12 inches SeaShell but who find the strength 1201HA (Atom Poulsbo) and just too self-1201N’s not important enough to cause the presence of N330 Atom processor, designed specifically to nettop.
It remains to know the price and especially whether the choice of the Atom N270 is confirmed at the time of the generation of N450.
